2BFY Programs

The Presidential Luncheon is a special time for the youth of 2B Forever Young. This is a time where the President comes to the school to sit and eat with the student and they will talk about school, life and anything else the student would like to share. The student knows that the organization he/she is a part of is concerned with his/her well-being and academic success. The teachers see the collaboration with the parents and students and school to make sure that the student will succeed in the classroom both academically and behaviorally. Making memories and supporting the student, teachers, and community throughout their school years is what the Presidential Luncheon is all about!

What is bullying?  Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance.  The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time.  Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose.  This is a serious issue and at 2BFY we need to do our part to stop it by drowning it out.  By addressing the issue with our youth we can make it happen.  We educate our youth by making them aware of the roles they play in bullying.  Youth can bully others, they can be bullied, or they may witness bullying.  We want the students to understand each role and to be positive; if they are doing the bullying then they need to stop, if they are being bullied they need to tell their parents,…
(Tell Your Parents Everything) At 2BFY we encourage and want every student to have open communication with their parents.  We emphasize to the student to talk to thier parents about their everyday life, funny experiences and other trivial things, not just the difficult stuff.  We want the students to let thier parents know about how their day went and what they are working on in school.  We want the students to know that regular communication about the less important things will make the difficult conversations much easier.  Be open and honest with their parents, if an issue is important to the student, encourage them to bring it up to their parents.  Let them know that bottling up their emotions or annoyances can make their relationship deteriorate and to always communicate their feelings in a calm manner.  We want the students to know that the greatest relationship with their parents is…
One of the main focuses of 2BFY is teaching the youth to give back to their community where they live and play.  Giving back is among the most important and valuable things any individual can do.  Period.  We encourage our students to live by the Pay-It-Forward philosophy, do something for someone or a community to show positive support and care in hopes that they will pass along the gesture.  Giving back occurs when you give and expect nothing in return, no benefits for you, no recognition, or nothing tangible gets sent your way.  We want the students to feel the biggest and sole reward of making a significant or positive change in someone's life.  Join us in teaching and encouraging the youth of today to "Give Back."
Focuses on encouraging students to never settle on their grades, to always strive for the next level, and to work extra if needed. We want the "C" student to strive for the "B" and then the "A," while the "A" student needs to maintain and get the highest scores possible. There should never be satisfaction in "passing by" or "settling" on grades. We want our students to be strong competitors in the class rooms. Come join us in encouraging these students to be their best!
